Here we have Josh and Liv, throwing their illegal pickings into the air with glee and gusto. (And no, I didn’t know that the grapes were off limits when I snapped this shot.)
These kids, who apparently are planning on marrying one another, feed off each other’s energies and have a wildly fun time about 50% of the time they’re together. Hopefully, by the time they’re ready to walk down the aisle they’ve bumped up that number to at least 75%.
I have many hilarious shots of Josh and Livia playing. Now to narrow them down.
July 4
We were at a nearby playground recently when Shiloh began to attract quite a crowd. A group of children decided to forsake slides and monkey bars and instead begged to pet our little white dog. These kids were so darn cute—they were a photographer’s dream! Alas, I wasn’t wearing my Kindly Photographer (as opposed to the Creepy Photographer) badge and I had to make do with shots of the group, rather than the close-ups I was dying to take.
But then something interesting happened. One little boy *wanted* me to take his picture, and then of course he wanted to see himself on the digital camera. I was more than happy to submit to his wishes, and then to his sisters’ wishes as well. In this shot, big sister is trying to ruin the shot of her baby sister, which made me even more thrilled with the final image.
God bless this country and all the beautiful, sweet faces within it.
