Would you like to own an entire set of Babysitter’s Club books? Or perhaps you’ve been looking for just the right console television for your family room. If so, run, don’t walk, to the Zion Church Rummage Sale at 9th & D Streets here in Lincoln. The sale runs Thursday and Friday, 9am – 3pm (or so).
Despite the fact that I need to clean out my own basement and thus shouldn’t be bringing home any more “treasures,” I still came home from the sale with a several children’s books (including a hardback copy of The Velveteen Rabbit), a toddler snowsuit and a large basket for holding Livia’s books in the living room. $6 total — not too shabby!

Joe and I had great luck at the rummage sale as well. Before the sale even started we spotted a china hutch and dinning room table. The powers that be graciously gave it to us for a really low price. Then…I cried.
Lots of stories end that way these days as people have been so generous.

That’s awesome, Karen… I loved putting together my first home with garage sale finds. If there’s anything else you need, let me know and I’ll keep a lookout for you guys. Vavrina Meadows, the neighborhood SE of 14th & Pine Lake, is having their sales this weekend. I found a sweet vintage-y white dress for Livia.
Oh yeah, there’s still a pecan pie in my freezer with your names on it for when you’re ready to come over… : )

RT, Arg! You *have* to tell me when you go to these garage sales! I’m so unproductive on Fridays, so I might as well be bargain hunting.

Sorry! You totally could’ve come with us this morning, too… Bummer!

My aunt regularly sells off her name-brand baby girl clothing at insanely cheap prices by holding her own garage sales and such–if you’re the keen bargain hunter, I’ll have to let you know when she’s doing it next if you need more stuff for Livia!

Definitely let me know! Thanks, Lindsey. The thing about babies is that… they grow. Shocker, huh? One moment that cute pink onesie fits, the next moment it doesn’t. Garage sales are a mom’s best friend. : )

There is nothing better than finding a good garage sale. I wish I could’ve caught that one too. Alas, it is probably a little too far for me to drive for a bargain. :) We live in Houston.
