What makes us think and feel the way we do?
Was it PMS, or was it due to the fact that I’m waiting for an adoption to take place? Was it my already strong pro-life stance, or was the sheer exhaustion of my run-down immune system at the end of the work week?
At any rate, after reading this last Friday, I cried for a good five minutes. May God have mercy on our nation.

i am equally appalled at the story. it’s confusing, enraging and brings to mind the silence in the church — beginning with my cowardice. there are so many things to hurt for, this just adds another blow to the barage.

upon my second reading of the article i was somewhat grateful to read this sentence: “The procedure capped a week of legal maneuvering in the emotionally jarring case.” at least the reporter admits the depth of emotion involved in the case.
it’s little comfort, though, for a despicable act.

not to change the subject, as i often do, but i love the ability to access the internet from a cell phone. hope i don’t die in a car wreck trying to write this.
