In Nebraska we enjoy prairie grass seas, seals at the children’s zoo and a dock or two at Holmes Lake. People-watching is good sport in a few grocery stories I visit in the ‘hood, but otherwise it’s just not that interesting here.
But Fisherman’s Wharf provides the most excellent people-watching experience, which we appreciated to the fullest several days ago. I liked checking out shoe choices—you would not believe the heels some gals wore to the Wharf. Un-believable.
Fisherman’s Wharf is a photographer’s dream. Want to see what we saw? Scroll down.

I visited San Fransisco with a friend who lived there for years. She was SO not thrilled about visiting anywhere remotely touristy. Therefore, I didn’t really get many great shots like these. Nicely done!

Great photos!
But where are the shots of the unbelievable heels?

I’ll get you those shoe shots when you buy me a telephoto lens. That’s a fair trade, right? ;)

I feel so out of the loop! Was this from a recent trip to SF?? I know you went like a year ago w/ Jeremy, right? Regardless, I love these pics…seriously. Esp of the baker holding up her turtle rolls. But all of them are awesome. Wish I was there!! :)

SarahB, you and I need to get on the same loopage! Must. happen. Yep, I went to SF a year ago and went again last week. :) So fun!
One of my favorite shots is the baker leaning over her work. She was so great, though… When she saw my camera, she oh-so professionally aimed a smile at me and held up her tray of wares. This woman is *good* at what she does! Which includes pleasing the folks on the sidewalk out front. :)

Great city. Think what it must have been like to live there before Midwesterners invaded. In some of Ansel Adams early photos he has photos of the bay, without the Golden Gate Bridge. In the 1930s, artist colonies basically lived on the shore. Whatever anyone caught or bought that day was thrown in a large pot and that was the evening meal for everyone. Sounds pretty touristy, eh?
