December 17

Inspired by Amy’s featured photo of pumpkin pancakes and bacon, I fixed brunch this morning. (I just don’t have it in me to cook a hot breakfast!)

Liv and I did a lot of NOT sleeping from 3:00-5:30am, so we ended up sleeping in and eating breakfast later than normal, thus the brunch. Brown sugar oatmeal pancakes sounded good when we finally roused our tired bodies from bed.

It has been a long week and I find myself losing track of the days. Liv is going through something, don’t know what exactly, but we’ve been struggling with tantrums and other equally exhausting bad behavior. Jeremy and I are hoping we feel more of the Christmas spirit when we’re healthy physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Maybe it’s some kind of exhausting behavior virus that our kids just keep passing back and forth. Simon’s got it too. Sigh.

your picture looks so good, that I followed the link to the recipe, and made them for breakfast this morning! LOVED them!

Somehow my pancake recipes haven’t been coming out right lately, but this one came out just right. A bit heartier with the oatmeal, too. I’ll definitely be making these again!

They’re good, aren’t they?! The recipe site, Needs More Butter, belongs to me and several friends. It’s come in handy more than once and now I’m finding that I’m surprised if a tried-and-true recipe of mine is *not* listed there.

It’s really hard when you are battling with a chronic health condition and the kids are finding life tough… believe me I know and understand. Prayers for you both that you are given the strength and health to face each moment in the day. God Bless San
