Jane had asked the same question (so sorry I forgot to get back to you, Jane!).
I use a Canon Rebel XS–it’s a digital SLR and it came with an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. I’ve since added a 50mm f/1.4 lens and I shoot with that one quite a bit. My previous camera was a Canon Powershot with 10x zoom. It had video capabilities and I loved it, but I was ready for more control over my camera so it was time for the dSLR.
I still have a lot to learn about my camera and how to produce the images I want to produce. I’d encourage anyone who buys a new camera to learn how to use it. Read the manual, ask someone for advice, take a class, watch a tutorial, talk to photographers about their work. You’ll catch on to the lingo fairly quickly and the results of your knowledge will be obvious!

This charming, sleepy babe is Ezra, Natasha’s little guy. Tasha is featured on the DPP homepage today!

LOVE this photo! Great name, too. We considered that for our second, but went with Isaiah instead. :)

Hi Rebecca,
Maybe you’ve answered this somewhere, but what kind of camera do you use?
