Right around the time I became a mom, our church began a program for mothers. And boy, am I thankful. I love these women and I really enjoy our times together each month. It’s a joy to belong to this community of believers.

Is it MOPS, Rebecca?! I LOVE MY MOPS group! Just went there today! I wholeheartedly agree to your post! Three cheers for MOPS! :-)

I loved my MOPS group (though I don’t think that’s the one at Zion, is it?) and really enjoyed the fellowship with other moms. Sadly, I can’t go to it anymore as my daughter is too old and I work full-time now.

Oh — PLEASE tell me more!! How does it run? What do you do? What has and hasn’t worked? Wish I could drop you right into my living room for a coffee and a chat – we have a playgroup ministry at my church but I dream of doing something for the mums especially.

It’s not MOPs – it’s a group for moms (with kids of all ages, I think) started at the church by women in the church. I’m not a mom, so that’s about all I know about it. :) Rebecca will have to fill you in on the nitty gritty.
Also, it makes me so happy whenever I see those chairs that survived the fire! Well, happy and sad both.

We call our program Mom-to-Mom but it’s very similar to MOPS.
Catherine, I’d love to tell you more about what we do. I haven’t been a part of the leadership team since the get-go, but if you’re interested, I can find out how the whole thing started. I’ll try to drop you an email soon!

Thanks a heap, Rebecca – no rush!
