Apparently, Crazy-Eyed Smiles start when one turns four.
This final pic shows my mini-zookeeper at work. Around the goat pen there are moms coaxing their children to feed the goats then keep moving. Afterall, the rest of the zoo is awaiting. But my little zookeeper had other plans, so I settled on a bench with my camera, cell phone and imagination. Livia loves animals and insects. Sometimes I wonder if she’ll grow up to be an entomologist.

nono no not “flooring paint”! I hope you read this before you shop! You need to first MAKE SURE it’s either exterior (porch/deck) or interior (…inside… :) then pick your color, and if its a floor or something, make sure its NOT matte (although matte is superb looking for walls…you can see every little grubby finger or toe all over it).
My pictures were from a distance because stefan and I…well…we’re CHEAP! The people who had the house before us left us like, a gazillion cans of paint, and both sets were interior…which basically just means that they are matte (we painted on saturday and you can see footprints already…sheesh) but that they will wear really easily…i.e. the next people to live here will have to paint relatively soon.
Hope that helps!
Sarah
PS–kitchen + bathroom = GLOSSY paint (because of the “sweating”)

[Sarah’s reply is to my comments on her blog if that was confusing to anyone!]
Oh no, no worries about us going out and buying paint right away. But I do really want to update our porch and the slate gray porch paint doesn’t exactly excite me. Thanks for the info, Sarah! I hope your house sells quickly.

I like all these photos – and I like that you let Liv enjoy herself and take her time with the goats! :)

Oh I tried to keep her moving but like I said, she had other plans. And I own a zoo pass, so being pushy just didn’t seem necessary. : )
