After my last haircut Livia told me I looked like ElastiGirl. And while wearing Liv’s birthday mask (something she’s warming up to, something I predict will be lots of fun to her in the future) I felt like a superhero. There’s just something exciting and daring about the mask… I felt like I was up to something great as I wiped down the kitchen counters, ran laundry to the basement and snapped photos of my amazing super self.
How did people make fools of themselves before blogs? Did anyone ever really have fun before public embarrassment?

I think it’s awesome that you wore that around the house. I had a friend who would wear old formals or bridesmaids dresses around the house some days.
I try not to make a fool of myself on my blog (though I know it’s been pointed out to me on occasion that maybe I should feel the fool), which is fine since I’m still doing it live and in person on a regular basis.

Make that, “You are a brave woman, daughter.”

Absolutely and utterly hilarious! Glad you’re getting some good use of it. I don’t know if I ever mentioned on my blog, but the cape and mask I made for Caleb for Christmas, well yeah he refused to put on either one for months and months. But now he loves running around with them. Once he had friends over who wanted to wear them it was all over!

I like to wear Fuller’s super cape sometimes. I feel like Super Mom!

This picture still cracks me up after seeing them on your camera this past weekend! Although I still think you should’ve posted the “serious super-hero” pose. The contradiction of the serious face with the superhero mask is just delightful. :)
