When All Else Fails, Ing

  • Wishing: I had more motivation to write the blog posts that continue to roll around my brain.
  • Typing: Over and over, due to my competitive nature. [HT to Lori.]
  • Munching: On the remainder of Livia’s M&Ms from V-Day. Hey, she got tons of candy and clearly someone needs to help her eat it all.
  • Reading: A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin. More on this in my end-of-the-month review.
  • Watching: No Reservations and part of Maxed Out, a documentary on Americans and debt.
  • Cooking: Finally, a decent meal for my fam tonight.
  • Thinking: Lots of children’s clothes are made for children shorter and more rotund than Livia–most of her shirts expose her round belly these days. Quick, someone give me a Sharpie!
  • Planning: To recycle more and search for products for Liv without phthalates.
  • Singing: Happy Birthday to my pop who turned, ahem, 60 yesterday! [big grin]
  • Loving: Livia’s cuddly nature and Jeremy’s willingness to relieve me of parenting for a portion of every evening.
  • Deciding: To be done inging for one night.

With numbers like that, B, I think you’ve found your calling in life. : )

Seriously. Maybe I can have a typing tour…people will come from far and wide to watch me click-clack away.

(Actually, I get in trouble for typing to fast at work sometimes. Apparently the incessant clicking noises can annoy people. :) )

119 with 9 mistakes. Clearly, when typing too quickly I have some accuracy issues which render the speed less important.

1532 wpm with 0 mistakes. Mwahahaha! That’s what they get for not generating a fresh sample with a click of the start button. :)

Honestly though, 31 wpm with 3 mistakes. But hey, I’ve got some issues. ;)

Rebecca, just thought I’d give you an idea for a product without…whatever that word was!! (In reference to shampoos, etc, for Liv.) Have you ever heard of Castile Soap? It’s a 100% natural liquid soap that’s been around for many generations. When my mom saw a bottle of it at our place, her initial reaction was, “Hey! I remember my Mom using castile soap. I didn’t even know it was still around.”

Anyone, b/c it’s totally natural (has like 3 ingredients in it), it is safe and gentle for kids. “Dr. Bronner’s” is a major brand of it, plus many other companies sell it, too. If you’re interested, check out some places in Lincoln that sell holistic products or you can purchase it online, too.

And P.S. You guys are so funny! I’ll have to try out this typing thing, now b/c you’ve got me intrigued.

Thanks for the recommendation, Sarah! I’ll have to keep my eyes open for it. I think Dove is always a good option, though it does have a lot of ingredients I can’t decipher. I picked up some Burt’s Bees bubble bath at Target last night–it’s good stuff.

Perhaps I should be having Bethany type up my reading notes…
