Glad we could inspire you. I was inspired by Jeannette making them with Ellis. Though looking on her blog today at the finished result, you can tell she’s not as much of a painting control freak as I am. Her’s looks like it was made by a kid, ours well, I couldn’t resist filling in all of the little gaps. But the kids loved them and most of them are on the way to family for Christmas. I didn’t happen to mention on my blog that Alice completely threw a royal fit saying “its my turn” when cutting out the dough and I ended up having to put her in time out for at least 20 minutes while Caleb and I finished up. This project definitely wasn’t the easiest for her age, but Caleb loved it.
There’s a lot left unmentioned on blogs, eh? If you look closely you’ll see flour remnants on Liv’s face. She was eating the extra flour and it totally drove me crazy. I think every mom has to have a voice in the back of her head that says, Just chill out and enjoy this time with your kid. Even when that kid is eating flour from the countertop. Sigh.

Liv and Caleb could be quite a rolling-pin pair!
