A few days ago Jeremy, Livia and I were cuddled on the couch together when Liv turned to me and said, “Mom, you’re beautiful.” Then we had to explain the concept of happy tears to our 3 year old.
Her charm and adoration was geared toward Jeremy this afternoon. She looked at him, nose-to-nose, and told him he had “beautiful eyes.” She’s right, he does.
Finally, Liv pulled out her wee accordian (a gift from Uncle Andrew) and began wheezing away on the thing, making noises that would fit right in during the Wilber Czech Festival. Sung in falsetto, her song went like this: I love Grandpa Bill. Aww.

I’d like the record to show that I don’t love it when bloggers brag on and on about their kids. And yet, as a mother who doesn’t want to forget these memories and as a woman who doesn’t successfully scrapbook, the blog helps me keep track of things. Trust me, if you don’t write the cute sayings and silly antics down right away, chances are you won’t recall them later. (At least I won’t.)
So roll your eyes at this post. Skip it and run down the page. Do what you’ve got to do — and so will I!

I have to do the same thing – write them down. I think I have scraps of paper all over the place with my daughter’s sayings. :)
Yesterday I was lamenting about how I’d gained a few pounds back in the last month and my daughter hugged me and said, “I still love you no matter what you look like!” Yeah, I about cried, too.
