She’s been brainwashed! BRAINWASHED, I TELL YOU!!! I haven’t pulled out the ole finger-in-your-throat, “gag me” sign since sixth grade until I read this line, “Tom and I will always be in our honeymoon phase.”
Barf-o-rama.

Yet another reason to hate our celebrity-centric star system… knowing about the vapidity and love-life antics of actors makes it so much more difficult to appreciate and enjoy their performances on film. Grr. Stupid publicity machine, ruining Pieces of April for me.

Bethany uses big words. Like “vapidity.” Even if I know words like “vapidity” (which I usually don’t), I never use them in my everyday language.
But Bethany also uses words like “grr.” Now *that* is something closer to the Anne vocabulary.
Ugh. Grr. Buh. Huh? Meh.
Bethany smart.

charity- I think the rumor is that kidman’s rejection of scientology was one of the reasons their marriage ended. huh.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see Katie Holmes as anything beyond Joey Potter–and I have a hard time believing that Tom Cruise never looks at her and doesn’t see emotionally-torn-over-Dawson-Leary Joey either. IT’S JUST WRONG. And I agree with Bethany. It ruined Pieces of April for me too.

Ah… I love Pieces of April and don’t know that it’s been ruined for me just yet. But still, I’ve been studying marriage recently (meaning, in a more purposeful manner) and I’m completely embarrassed at their infatuation that is being played out at a worldwide level. #1, I hate to be a naysayer, but can’t help but ask how long this relationship will last (because goodness knows the head-over-heels stage doesn’t last forever). And #2, though I love keeping up on pop culture, I wish entertainment news sources wouldn’t keep the public so informed on celebrities’ private lives. I don’t need any more Tom Cruise stories to believe that the guy is nuts and I also don’t need to read about how Brad Pitt went with Angelina Jolie to pick up her second child by adoption. Argh. Enough!
