It is soooo good to read your own opinions in the words of another. As understood in the aforementioned mall episode, I agree with this author on the issue of low-rise.

that 10-12 inches of rise will soon become 12-14…are you aware of how silly this looks when your 40? at some point a belly will develop and you’ll have forced your entire belly into your pants! here’s the solution, don’t pull your pants up to your eyelids and don’t get a belly! btw, i hate seeing lowriders on late 20’s ladies with a gratuitous throng making an appearance. thongs are no longer the tasteful choice of the non-panty-lines person, they’re the sweaty, teenage, zip-popping, majority who purchase and incorrectly wear them by hiking up the thong and dropping the jean level. yikes.

i think thong-exposure is tacky on anyone… not just the late 20’s gal, or young teenager. the problem is, pants these days are created for peek-a-boo-panties. and it drives me crazy! my pants aren’t even that low and i’m constantly checking my backside at work!

in the interest of science, i measured my low-rise jeans from waistband to crotch: 7 inches.

my lowest low-rise measurement: 11 inches. yup — that confirms it… i’m one of those people who like jeans that go up to their bra lines when they sit and slouch. oh well.

wow! you mean people will do goofy stuff in the name of fashion?
you guys are about, oh… eight thousand years behind the times. this is nothing new.
“those who say ‘those who do not read about the past are doomed to repeat it’ have already proven that reading about the past has nothing to do with repeating it – they are not the first, nor the last, to make that ridiculous claim.” -adam, paraphrasing others more wiser.

i’m not saying that goofy fashion is something new! but until i figure out how to use a needle and thread to create custom-made jeans for myself, i’m gonna gripe about the crappy fashions at the mall.
i watched ‘extreme makeover’ tonight… it’s sandwiched between friends/survivor and er. i’m dying to meet up with sam the stylist; if he’s offering a free, new wardrobe, that is!
