in the thick summer heat
a storm brewed
and the winds came
propelling the chimes into pandemoniac euphony
and the sand blew
driving the soccer players and picnickers from the park
and the rain poured (horizontally)
scattering the girls and conversations from the porch
into their air-conditioned houses
into the night
flashing, thundering, blowing
the storm continued

I was one of the girls being scattered! Ha! I’m famous now!

i was a little bummed that the storm didn’t really ‘continue’ for that long! ah, well…
famous is as famous does, charity. you might need to go to the grocery store in disguise, now that you’ve been written about on my blog and all. : )

we were rooting for the power to go out at work so we could go home…but alas, the ‘storm’ was quite brief and not severe. it looked really nasty out though…all greenish yellow – prime tornado weather!

it really did look like tornado weather… i loved the rain we got today, too. definitely needed for our lawns and gardens!
